Her artistic journey began during her formative years when she discovered her innate talent for crafting. This early fascination with beads, wires, and various materials laid the groundwork for what would later become the driving force behind Wild Ice Jewelry and its been her passion ever since.

Donna's roots in craftsmanship reach back to her grandmother whose adoption into the Chippewa Indian tribe introduced her to the art of bead weaving at a young age. This heritage left an indelible imprint on her creative spirit and laid the foundation for her future work in jewelry design. 

Her upbringing was also marked by the transient lifestyle of an Air Force family. Born in South Korea and raised in Washington state she had the unique opportunity to witness the breathtaking grandeur of Alaskan glaciers throughout different seasons. This firsthand encounter with nature's frozen wonders left an indelible impression on Donna as she marveled at the crystalline beauty of ice often likened to the brilliance of diamonds. It was this awe-inspiring spectacle that ultimately served as the muse for the name "Wild Ice Jewelry." 

Before becoming a distinguished jeweler her path led her into the world of dance where she enjoyed a prolific career as a performer. It was in this realm of expression and movement that she discovered the transformative power of embellishment. She took it upon herself to create her own dance outfits adorning them with meticulously placed Swarovski crystals and other precious gems. This added layer of artistry not only set her apart but also ignited a passion for incorporating gemstones into her artistic endeavors. This transformative experience not only set her apart as a performer but also kindled a love for gemstones and intricate detailing.

Today she calls the gorgeous landscapes of Greenville South Carolina home. It is here among the beauty of the South and her current travels that she continues to draw inspiration for her creations.

Behind every exceptional woman and business owner is a supportive partner &for her that pillar of strength is her husband Jason & their beloved fur baby Koda. Jason's unwavering belief in her talents and his boundless encouragement have been instrumental in the evolution of Wild Ice Jewelry. Together they form a dynamic duo united in their pursuit of creating jewelry that transcends the ordinary. Whether they are traveling here in the US or abroad to sunny spots with clear waters to get inspired or working endless hours and days on new pieces Donnas artistic journey continues to unfold one creation at a time.
